We are a premier importer and wholesale distributor of high-fashion apparel and accessories, specializing in leather goods such as handbags, shoes, belts, wallets, and men’s and women’s leather clothing. We are seeking a skilled Leather Specialist to join our team, focusing on the repair, refurbishment, and quality control of leather products.

Key Responsibilities:

Repair and Refurbishment:

• Repair and restore leather goods, including handbags, shoes, belts, wallets, and leather garments, to meet quality standards.
• Perform detailed hand sewing and machine stitching on leather items.
• Refurbish leather products, including cleaning, conditioning, and color restoration.

Quality Control:

• Conduct thorough examinations of leather goods for defects, damage, and inconsistencies in craftsmanship.
• Adjust or modify leather garments to meet specific requirements.

General Maintenance:

• Maintain sewing machines, tools, and leather care equipment in proper working condition.
• Manage and organize supplies and materials for leather repair and tailoring tasks.

Qualifications:

Experience & Skills:

• Proven experience as a Leather Specialist, seamstress, or in a related role, with a focus on leather goods.
• Expertise in repairing, sewing, and tailoring leather products.
• Proficiency in both hand and machine stitching techniques for leather.
• Strong understanding of leather care, conditioning, and restoration processes.
• Keen eye for detail and high standards of craftsmanship.

Job Type:

Full-time Pay:

$16.00 – $24.00 per hour
