Shift:
Sunday-Thursday, 6:00 PM – 2:30 AM (starts on day shift for first 5 weeks)
Summary of Role :
- Industrial Control Tech II ensures the maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of materials handling equipment and automated systems in a distribution center.
- Responsibilities include performing preventive maintenance, diagnosing and repairing electrical/mechanical issues, and maintaining the CMMS system.
The role requires hands-on expertise with PLCs, AC/DC systems, motors, sensors, and industrial networking.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute and improve preventive maintenance schedules for facility systems.
- Diagnose and repair automated equipment and electrical/mechanical systems.
- Perform routine system upgrades and equipment modifications.
- Maintain inventory of spare parts and record activities in CMMS.
- Support night shift operations after initial 5-week day shift training.
- Mentor other technicians and assist in resolving complex technical issues.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience with technical training or equivalent.
- Strong electrical/mechanical troubleshooting skills (AC/DC, motors, drives, PLCs, HMIs).
- Ability to read electrical schematics, CAD layouts, and technical diagrams.
- Familiarity with PLC programming and industrial networks (e.g., Profibus, BACnet).
- Knowledge of HVAC, chillers, BAS, and water treatment systems.
- Proficient in MS Office and MHE software (e.g., RSLogix, Flex Sort).
- Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
