Position Overview:

The Controls Engineer will support and enhance manufacturing automation systems. This role will be responsible for programming and troubleshooting PLCs, robotic welders, HMI interfaces, vision systems, and 3-phase motor controls. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in supporting both current production needs and future automation projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, program, and modify projection and robotic welders Create and troubleshoot PLC ladder logic using Direct Logic, Productivity, and Allen Bradley platforms Configure and maintain HMI systems (Allen Bradley, C-more, and C-more Micro) Experience with camera systems and sensors , including Omron, Keyence, and Cognex Program and support ABB robotic controls for current production and future integration Troubleshoot and maintain 3-phase motor control systems Assist in the design, fabrication, and integration of new equipment and automation systems Implement continuous improvement initiatives and corrective actions Conduct predictive and preventive maintenance risk assessments Interpret blueprints, schematics, and AutoCAD drawings Ensure adherence to all Lockout/Tagout and safety protocols

Required Experience:

5 plus years of relevant experience in industrial automation or controls engineering Strong proficiency in PLC programming and troubleshooting Experience with ABB robotics is highly preferred Experience with HMI development and configuration Hands-on experience with industrial sensors and vision systems Experience reading and interpreting schematics, electrical drawings, and technical manuals Working knowledge of AutoCAD Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills Excellent communication and team collaboration abilities
