Job Description
Control Room Technician 3.5 3.5 out of 5 stars Rome, GA Job Summary The Control Room Operator plays a critical role in monitoring and managing the operations within the control room of our facility. This position requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to respond swiftly to various situations. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, particularly in electrical systems and HVAC, as well as excellent customer service abilities to effectively communicate with team members and clients. A Utility Technician (or Operator) follows routine tasks and standard procedures while being supervised. They work in the Central Control Room (CCR) and are responsible for monitoring mechanical and electrical systems , as well as control equipment.
Main responsibilities:
- Watch and monitor facility operations regularly.
- Keep track of alarms and system shutdowns, then report them.
- Help find out the cause of any issues.
- Adjust system settings when guided by engineers.
- Check performance data of systems.
- Communicate with supervisors or other technicians to fix problems like system damage, alarms, or poor performance.
- Record and report system logs, trends, and events using the Central Utility/Power Monitoring System .
Key Responsibilities:
Monitoring Electrical Power Voltage Monitoring HVAC operation temperature and Pressure Monitoring Natural Gas Energy Monitoring Technicians
- Data Center Monitoring
- Employees must have electrical and mechanical maintenance experience to understand the equipment they are monitoring
- The employees will be monitoring and viewing the equipment data (chillers, boilers, HVAC etc.)
- They will then report the faults to the maintenance department to go in and fix it.
