This role involves inspecting, testing, repairing, and assembling pressure relief valves in accordance with industry standards and OEM specifications. You’ll be working in a fast-paced environment where precision, attention to detail, and safety are essential. This position is based out of Geismar, LA and Belle Chasse, LA , supporting operations at key industrial sites.
Responsibilities:
Perform valve inspections, diagnostics, disassembly, repair, and reassembly Complete all documentation including repair records, test reports, and traveler paperwork Pre-test and final test valves using air, nitrogen, water, or steam, following code requirements Use valve test stands, OEM manuals, and inspection tools to ensure quality control Clean and prep parts using bead blasting, chemical solvents, or neutralizing solutions Identify valve types, materials, and critical dimensions using PMI and alloy analyzers Accurately tag, seal, and prepare valves for shipment including painting and protection Follow all safety and quality procedures; maintain a clean and organized work environment Assist with equipment and tool maintenance (air tools, forklifts, compressors, etc.) Travel to field sites as needed
Work Experience Requirements:
Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in pressure relief valve testing and repair High school diploma or equivalent (technical/trade school preferred) Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to read technical documentation and manuals Familiarity with safety data sheets (SDS), QCPs, and OEM procedures TWIC, OSHA, or Security Passport preferred Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a high-demand environment Valid driver’s license required Benefits This is a direct hire by the company, so you will enjoy company benefits!
