Pay Rate:
The pay rate for this job is $18 – $25/ hour• What you’ll be doing as a
Control Panel Technician:
Follow established processes, procedures, and standards Develop working relationships with other departments to address and resolve issues Document and take photos of completed control panels and file documentation in job file per equipment serial # Complete all required documentations and variance reports Document and report any changes that may be needed to complete panels Test completed panels Requisition all materials required for panel fabrication inventory Maintain the inventory levels in the fabrication area Assemble electrical control panels and enclosures Make accurate cutouts and openings for devices mounted on enclosures Must be able to wire Control Panel according to engineering schematics Must be able to install control wires and cables in neat/clean/professional Must be able to install a Control Panel on the machine and wire all sensors and devices on the machine to the control panel Able to spot inconsistencies in drawing and discrepancies in paperwork and to ask or answer questions during assembly process Choose appropriate wire colors and gauges required to complete wiring to all applicable codes, specifications and regulations & Tucs wiring Standard Field wire control cabinets when necessary Assist engineers with machine start up and debug Exercise safe work habits and maintain a clean and safe working area Familiarity with PLC, Power Supplies, VFDs, counters, controls, weigh scales, and other electrical devices Wire components in accordance with
NFPA, UL, CSA & ETL
standards Assist with assembly of manufactured equipment, including non-electrical items Ability to travel to install sites for initial set up and support Available shifts: Shift timings -1st Shift (Day) Job requirements: Minimum of two-year degree or work-related experience in wiring control panels, maintaining inventory, establishing and overseeing procedures and policies, including compliance with UL 508A, CSA, ETL, and NFPA standards Verify Panel components and make sure that they follow
NFPA 70E
National Electric Code Familiar with
NFPA 70E, NFPA
79, UL508A, ETL, and CSA standards Ability to assess procedures and improve efficiency and methods within the shop environment Assist in establishing panel build standards, as necessary Able to read technical drawings and electrical schematics. Develop fabrication schedules and ensure on-time completion of control panels Communicate status of project panels to management Ability to use CAD to print and correct schematics Create .dxf Layouts for Waterjet Cutting Must be comfortable in a team environment as well as working individually Ready to take control of the way you work?
