We are seeking an experienced controls technician with 2-5 years of experience. This person must possess the ability to troubleshoot using the PLC as well as possess the ability to read and understand a voltmeter and other testing devices.
2-5 Years of PLC and 5 + years electrical experience preferred.
Primary Accountabilities
Respond to production downtime events that require PLC/ Electrical support.
Communicate with team members and leadership in a precise, professional, and respectful way.
Troubleshoot and repair electrical/ electronic and pneumatics at a high level of expertise.
Understand, troubleshoot, and repair electrical circuits from 5V to 480V.
Ability to read and understand electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic prints.
Troubleshoot and assist in the repair ABB robots not limited to replacement of axis and other various components.
Integration and setting up of VFD’s as needed.
Monitor and adjust equipment parameters to stabilize processes and maintain customer quality.
Investigate and assist other departments with process and quality issues.
Research, test, and purchase parts and new equipment along with monitoring existing stock.
Utilize MMS to generate work orders and log performance.
Decision Making Authority
Recommend and implement improvements to the manufacturing process to either improve component quality or reduce cycle time.
Make decisions on equipment, programs, and fixture adjustments as needed, but always with safety and customer quality in mind.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Associate’s degree in Mechatronics or similar field
Previous engineering experience in manufacturing environment preferred
Siemens PLC Programming TIA Portal knowledge
ABB Robot programming knowledge
Bosch/ Atlas Copco Tightening System Programming
Vision system set up and integration is a plus.
Ability to demonstrate the use of DMM.
Encoder knowledge
Ladder logic
HMI Proficiency
AC/DC Power experience
