Wax Technician 3.2 3.2 out of 5 stars Groton, CT 06340 Looking for your next development opportunity? At Doncasters we have an exciting opportunity for candidates to join our Wax and Shell department in Groton, Connecticut ! We have a range of positions open at this site, see below for more information. All of these positions also start at a trainee salary of $18.19, which you will be on until you complete your training, usually takes 2 to 3 months to complete, to which you will then move onto level 1 $19.41 hourly rate. Shell Robot Operator Dewax Operator Wax Repairer Wax Assembler Hours – 40 hours a week over a variety of shifts.

Training:

Please note all training is on 1st shift Monday through Friday from 6am-2:30pm. Once training is complete you will advance to your everyday hours. Salary – Our trainee hourly rates start at $18.19/hr. The starting pay is based on experience.

The Roles:
Wax Repairer:

As a Wax Repairer, you’ll be a key part of our production team, carefully inspecting and repairing wax patterns to ensure they meet exact specifications. Using set procedures, photographs, and detailed instructions, you’ll identify and fix imperfections with precision and skill. This role is perfect for individuals who enjoy working with their hands, have a strong attention to detail, and thrive in delicate, intricate tasks. If you’re into arts and crafts or enjoy working with small tools, you’ll excel in this position!

Wax Assembler:

This role requires a steady hand, sharp attention to detail, and manual dexterity as you carefully inspect and assemble gates to wax patterns. Using hot knives, torches, and hand tools, you’ll ensure each piece meets the highest standards. You’ll also work as part of a team, performing team lifts to flip and dip delicate wax Molds with care.

Shell Room operator:

With your sharp attention to detail, you’ll work with cutting-edge robotic technology, following established SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) and utilizing a variety of tools and techniques to maintain top-tier quality standards. Your expertise will help drive seamless production within process parameters, making you an essential part of our success.

Dewax Operator:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail oriented Dewax Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will play a key part in the production process by preparing and loading Molds onto the appropriate boiler clave trays and operating the required programs with precision. You will follow documented work instructions and technique cards to identify which Molds need to be removed from the dry line. Duties include removing, cutting, or grinding dewax plugs from Molds, as well as maintaining a clean, safe, and well-organized work area and equipment.
