Our mission centers on matching experienced educators with educational institutions seeking dedicated teaching professionals. Position Overview We are recruiting for a Maker Projects Instructor to come once a week to a French/English immersion school to teach a group of 12 students (ranging from 1st-through 5th grade) to explore, create, and build through maker projects (these classes will be taught in English). The school has a dedicated makerspace where students can use hands-on techniques and tools to make something new, discover problems and solutions, and to consider how their learning of discrete skills and concepts can be applied in real life. An example of a project students worked on last is year learning about how fans work by taking them apart. The students took notes and pictures of the disassembly in order to figure out how to re-assemble it back to functioning form. Responsibilities Teach a technology curriculum you would design, in collaboration with the school Create age-appropriate learning materials and activities. The school will provide support & materials for this based on the curriculum. Assess student progress and provide regular feedback Communicate effectively with parents about student development Collaborate with other teachers and staff Requirements The most important quality is a passion for hands on/DIY projects, technology, and the enthusiasm to teach it to bright young minds. This school values transferrable experience and passion over formal qualifications Good with tech/robotics projects Experience with Maker projects Excellent with kids and takes the utmost precautions with safety around tech/machinery Organized and structured Strong classroom management skills

Class Schedule:

Classes are one day a week starting from the week of Aug 19th 2025 through the last week of May 2026. School is still creating it’s schedule so there is some flexibility for you to choose a day between Mon – Fri that works best for you. 9am to 4pm with an hour lunch break in between.
