The Wax team creates and refines high-quality wax patterns for the lost-wax casting process.
They use a variety of handheld tools, similar to dental instruments, to shape wax and plastic injections from molds.
They will inspect the quality of pieces and remove any flaws from the patterns.
The separate wax and plastic pieces are combined onto a common sprue rod to create a tree-like structure also used in the lost-wax casting process.
The Wax Technician produces and perfects wax patterns used in the lost wax casting process.
This hands-on role involves operating injection equipment and using small handheld tools to create and refine high-quality wax pieces.
Key Responsibilities:
Use rubber molds and a wax injection machine to create wax patterns
Inspect wax patterns for defects or imperfections
Manicure wax parts using handheld tools to ensure quality and accuracy
Fulfill order requirements for count, size, and color efficiently
Perform manual processing tasks and paperwork to complete daily operations
Monitor email communication for daily updates and process changes
Complete periodic computer-based training
Maintain a clean, organized workstation and follow safety procedures
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Manual dexterity for small, detailed work
Ability to detect fine details and imperfections with strong eyesight
Team-oriented with strong communication skills
Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes
Preferred Qualifications:
