Picture Framer Blowing Rock Frameworks and Gallery Blowing Rock, NC 28605 Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Art Framer to join our creative team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for art and craftsmanship, with the ability to work with various materials and techniques to create high-quality frames for artwork, photographs, and other decorative pieces. The Art Framer will be responsible for ensuring that each piece is framed to perfection, enhancing its aesthetic appeal while providing protection. Duties Measure and cut framing materials accurately to fit various sizes of artwork. Assemble frames using appropriate techniques, including taping, gluing, and stapling Restore and repair damaged frames as needed, ensuring a polished finish. Collaborate with clients to understand their framing needs and preferences. Operate appropriate matting and glass cutting machines Operate appropriate machines for precision cutting and shaping of frame components. Maintain a clean and organized workplace Utilize design skills when necessary for specific framing projects. Requirements Proven experience in art framing or a related field is preferred. Familiarity with basic gallery operations Ability to build frames accurately to ensure proper alignment And customer satisfaction Excellent attention to detail and craftsmanship in all aspects of the framing process. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members. A passion for art and an eye for aesthetics will be highly valued. Some on site training will be offered.
