Custom Art/Picture Framer Confidential Saratoga Springs, NY 12866 Overview We are seeking a skilled and experienced Art Framer to join our creative team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for art and craftsmanship, with the ability to build, restore, and assemble high-quality frames for various artworks. This role is essential in ensuring that each piece is presented beautifully and preserved for years to come. The Art Framer will work closely with artists, galleries, and clients to deliver exceptional framing solutions that enhance the aesthetic of each artwork. Duties Build custom frames according to specifications provided by clients or designers. Restore and repair damaged frames, ensuring they meet quality standards. Assemble various framing components using hand tools and power tools. Interpret schematics and design plans to create unique framing solutions. Collaborate with clients to understand their vision and provide expert recommendations on materials and styles. Create Invoices for billing clients using POC system. Manage own schedule to complete projects in a timely manner. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols while using tools and equipment. Stay updated on trends in the restoration industry to offer innovative framing options. Skills Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools for frame construction and restoration. Strong understanding of frame carpentry techniques and best practices. Experience in mold remediation is a plus, ensuring artworks are preserved in optimal conditions. Ability to read and interpret schematics for custom frame designs. Excellent attention to detail, ensuring high-quality finishes on all projects. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with clients and team members. A background or interest in the arts is highly desirable, enhancing the ability to connect with clients’ artistic visions.
