Kennedy Space Center Position Overview/Job Summary:
Panel Technicians II-Ill are responsible for integrating electronic equipment systems for space system components for the Artemis programs. Technicians are also responsible for assembling of complex electromechanical racks, panels and subassemblies. As the Panel Technician, your contributions will be critical to ensuring safe, consistent, and groundbreaking advancements in human spaceflight. Key Responsibilities (responsibilities include but are not limited to): Performing installation of avionic components and systems, ensuring operational reliability and adherence to design specifications. Reads instructions, such as work orders, diagrams, and wire lists to determine materials needed and sequence of assembly. Mount and install components, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs), human-machine interfaces (HMIs), relays, contactors, switches and terminal blocks in panel enclosures. Assembles cables, buses, and electromechanical systems Read instructions such as work orders, diagrams and wire lists to determine materials needed and sequence of assembly Measures, cuts, solders and or crimps wire and contacts to fabricate wire harness
Minimum Qualifications:
Previous Experience working with panel, wiring and mechanical installs & experience with engineering drawings, wire diagrams, and electrical schematics Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite/365 including Excel, Word, Outlook and Teams Experience with avionics/panel manufacturing and operation of related test equipment. Proficiency in harsh environment test & assembly procedures. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and work instructions. Familiarity with industry standards such as IPC/ WHMA-A-620, MIL-DTL-22520, NASA-STD-8739, J-STD-001, and
ANSI/ESD S20.20.
