Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Engineering Technician with expertise in cable and wire harness assembly, electronics/electrical equipment, and test equipment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on soldering experience and hold a current

J-STD-001

certification.

Key Responsibilities:

Assemble and modify electrical/electronic equipment, including computers, test equipment, telemetering systems, electric motors, circuit boards, and batteries. Perform precision soldering tasks to assemble and repair electronic components and assemblies, adhering to

J-STD-001

standards & IPC/WHMA-A-620. Read and interpret specifications, drawings/schematics, and part lists for build requirements and assembly instructions. Inspect and test wiring installations, assemblies, and circuits for resistance factors and operational integrity; record results. Utilize various test equipment, including continuity testers, to ensure products meet quality standards. Apply end-of-wire components, plugs, terminal strips using soldering iron or crimping devices, and sealing liquids for knots/ties. Collaborate with production supervisors, manufacturing engineers, and other personnel to resolve production problems and improve assembly techniques. Maintain accurate documentation of assembly processes and test results.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school certification preferred. 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment. 1-3+ years of experience in electrical/electronic assembly, including cable and wire harness production. Current J-STD-001 and

IPC/WHMA-A-620

certification is required. Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics. Experience with soldering, crimping, and assembling electronic components. Familiarity with test equipment and procedures for verifying electrical assemblies. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with

CMMI & J-STD-001C

Class 3 standards. Knowledge of

IPC/WHMA-A-620

standards for cable and wire harness assemblies. Previous experience in a manufacturing or engineering support role. 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
