Job Description

Electronic Assembler Confidential-Manufacturing Atlanta, GA

MUST BE WILLING TO TRAVEL – MUST BE OK WITH TEMPORARY STRIKE/CONTRACT WORK OCCUPATIONAL SUMMARY

Plan, lay out, develop, fabricate parts, and build electrical/electronic wiring aids. Perform complete operations to fabricate, assemble and install production and/or first article units, such as control consoles, junction boxes, instrument panels, relay panels, battery racks, engine and interconnect harnesses. Follow solder legends and setup and operate flow soldering equipment to solder printed circuit boards and their components.

WORK PERFORMED

Plan, lay out, develop, fabricate parts, and build electrical/electronic wiring aids for production use. Perform complete operations to fabricate, assemble and install production and/or first article units, such as control consoles, junction boxes, instrument panels, battery racks; engineand interconnect harnesses, working from schematics, wiring diagrams, operation instruction sheets, travelers, sketches: engineering detail drawings, oral instructions and established shop practices. Review planning releases and engineering changes for their effect on wiring assemblies and modify wiring aids to incorporate required changes. Select, brand, cut, route, fasten, solder, sleeve, tie and lug wires; assemble and install wiring harnesses; locate, drill, mount, and fasten components; install in proper sequence in control consoles, junction boxes, instrument panels and relay panels, resistors, capacitors, filters, diodes, circuit boards, heat and speed sensors, transformers, meters, malfunction status indicators, circuit breakers, and fuses. Follow detailed solder legends and set up and operate flow soldering equipment to solder printed circuit boards and their components .Check own work by means of continuity tester, voltmeters, ohmmeters, power supplies, bridges, or testing fixtures. May perform work operations under direct guidance where adequate information has not yet been determined and furnished such as routing and part locations and where critical dimensions, locations, adjustments, and coordinated locations are required. Perform rework of the nature and level of difficulty described herein.
