Electro/Mechanical Assembler
- Level 2
Located:
Walpole, MA
- •• TheLevel 2 Electronic Solderer and Assembler is responsible forintermediate-level soldering and assembly tasks, including a largevariety of digital, analog and power device prototype and productionprinted circuit boards with SMT and through-hole components, mechanicalsubassembly and final product assembly.
This role requires proficiencywith electronic assembly and soldering techniques, complex assemblies,and greater independence.

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform assemblyand wiring of electronic sub and final assemblies, ensuring all partsare properly integrated and secured.
- Assemble individual circuitboards (PCB and protoboard), solder SMT and THT components onto circuitboards to
IPC J-STD-001
standards.
- Modify and update existing PCBAs tosupport Engineering Change Notices.
- Work must meet or exceed customerrequirements using IPC A-610,620 and 630 standards.
- Follow detailedwork instructions to solder devices to support production.
- Ability toread and follow electronics assembly drawing and procedures.
- Familiarwith Bill of Materials (BOMs), work orders. Ability to read and fill outprocess documentation.
- Performing inventory checks to ensure they havethe quantity and correct materials per the job order.
- Performintermediate level of testing of sub systems and products.
- Assist intraining and inspecting work of level 1 assemblers.
- Inspect parts andassemblies for accuracy, quality and adherence to standards.
- Proficient in the use of small tools and soldering equipment.
- Familiarity with common ESD practices.
- Maintain a clean and organizedworkspace, including stock of various electrical components and relatedparts.
Qualifications:
- Experience “NOT REQUIRED” We offer In-Housetraining for the electro-mechanical assembler position, includingsoldering
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certificationpreferred.
- (Training offered): Surface mount SMT and THT soldering andrework experience required with a certification in IPC J-STD-001 and/or
IPC-A-610
quality standards and familiarization of IPC-A-620 and 630.
- (Training offered): Ability to interpret complex blueprints, assemblyinstructions, and BOMs.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to qualityIPC standards.
- Good manual dexterity, attention to detail with focuson quality.
- Self-motivated with ability to work in fast pacedenvironment.
- (Training offered): Familiarity with working in anISO9001 or AS9100 environment.
- Read, writing and verbally communicatein English.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
- Ability tolift up to 25 lbs. as needed.
- Prolonged periods of standing, sitting,and manual dexterity for fine motor assembly.
- Compliance with safetyand ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) protocols
