Job Summary:

The Level 2 Electronic Solderer and Assembler isresponsible for intermediate-level soldering and assembly tasks,including a large variety of digital, analog and power deviceprototype and production printed circuit boards with SMT andthrough-hole components, mechanical subassembly and final productassembly. This role requires proficiency with electronic assemblyand soldering techniques, complex assemblies, and greaterindependence. K ey

Responsibilities:

Perform assembly and wiring ofelectronic sub and final assemblies, ensuring all parts areproperly integrated and secured. Assemble individual circuit boards(PCB and protoboard), solder SMT and THT components onto circuitboards to

standards. Modify and update existing PCBAsto support Engineering Change Notices. Work must meet or exceedcustomer requirements using IPC A-610,620 and 630 standards. Followdetailed work instructions to solder devices to support production.

Ability to read and follow electronics assembly drawing andprocedures. Familiar with Bill of Materials (BOMs), work orders.

Ability to read and fill out process documentation. Performinginventory checks to ensure they have the quantity and correctmaterials per the job order. Perform intermediate level of testingof sub systems and products. Assist in training and inspecting workof level 1 assemblers. Inspect parts and assemblies for accuracy,quality and adherence to standards. Proficient in the use of smalltools and soldering equipment. Familiarity with common ESDpractices. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, includingstock of various electrical components and related parts.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; technicalcertification preferred. Surface mount SMT and THT soldering andrework experience required with a certification in IPC J-STD-001and/or

IPC-A-610

quality standards and familiarization of IPC-A-620and 630. Minimum 5 years’ experience as an electro-mechanicalassembler and soldering experience. Ability to interpret complexblueprints, assembly instructions, and BOMs. Detail-oriented with acommitment to quality IPC standards. Good manual dexterity,attention to detail with focus on quality. Self-motivated withability to work in fast paced environment. Familiarity with workingin an ISO9001 or AS9100 environment. Read, writing and verballycommunicate in English. Physical Requirements and Work Environment

  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. as needed.
  • Prolonged periods ofstanding, sitting, and manual dexterity for fine motor assembly.
  • Compliance with safety and ESD (Electrostatic Discharge)protocols.
