We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Assembler with experience in machine, equipment, and drive assemblies. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, the ability to work with hand and power tools, and a keen eye for detail to assemble components according to specifications.
Duties, Responsibilities & Skills:
Perform hand assembly and fitting of parts and components, troubleshooting and providing solutions when issues arise. Use and maintain a variety of hand tools, electrical powered tools, and other assembly equipment. Read and interpret blueprints, vendor materials, and written instructions to complete assemblies. Apply knowledge of basic plant safety practices and ensure compliance with safety protocols. Understand and work with fractions and decimals in measurement. Operate material handling equipment, such as carts, dollies, forklifts, cranes, and pallet trucks.
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent required; an Associate’s Degree in a related field is preferred. Previous job training will be provided by the supervisor. Forklift driving experience or certification is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to perform manual dexterity tasks to operate machinery and equipment. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs as needed.
