Mechanical Assembler Job Description Join our team in Souderton, PA as a Mechanical Assembler, where you’ll be responsible for assembling large parts for industrial furnaces using a variety of materials. You’ll read and interpret blueprints, utilize power tools, and work with materials such as felt, insulation, ceramic, graphite, carbon fiber, molybdenum, stainless steel, and carbon steel. Training is available to enhance your skills and knowledge. Responsibilities Read and interpret blueprints to guide assembly tasks. Utilize hand and power tools effectively for mechanical assembly. Work with sheet metal and a diverse range of materials. Assemble large components for industrial furnaces. Troubleshoot machine problems and perform preventative maintenance. Consistently meet and exceed deadlines for assigned tasks. Efficiently produce parts that meet quality standards. May be moved and cross-trained on several assembly processes. Essential Skills Proficiency in reading blueprints. Experience with mechanical assembly. Skillful use of hand and power tools. Ability to measure accurately with tape measures. Additional Skills & Qualifications High School Diploma required. Minimum of 1 year of experience in mechanical assembly or relevant work experience. Why Work Here? Work Environment This role is on the 1st shift with hours from 6:30am to 3:00pm, and the shop opens at 5am for overtime. You’ll work in a sheet metal fabrication shop that is not temperature controlled. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Souderton, Pennsylvania. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 – $20.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
