Job Title:
Mechanical Assembly Technician (2nd Shift) Job Description Perform mechanical builds of customer products, specifically large control panel cabinets. Candidates must be able to read and understand engineers’ drawings, schematics, and diagrams. Experience with the installation of mechanical parts using drawings is essential. The primary function of this role is to build and assemble control panels for electrical technicians to wire up. Responsibilities Coordinate mechanical build tasks with other manufacturing staff to fulfill customer requirements while adhering to safety, quality, and customer specifications. Follow standardized procedures to accomplish assigned tasks. Mechanically assemble electrical control panels per customer specifications with appropriate tools. Coordinate with teammates to organize tasks requiring multiple team members to accomplish. Provide information and coordinate action plans at cross-functional meetings and communicate issues with team members and/or visitors to drive corrective actions. Utilize drawings to lay out structures for panels, measure dimensions, verify, build panels, boxes, and electrical cabinets for the team to wire and inspect. Perform part replacement on tools as needed and according to schedules. Work under direct, close supervision, with output monitored frequently. Follow detailed written or verbal instructions, including visual aids. Ensure that the assigned area is clean and organized per 5S standards. Adhere to all safety and health rules and regulations associated with this position and as directed by the supervisor. Comply and follow all procedures within the company security policy. Essential Skills 2+ years of experience in mechanical installation and assembly. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Proficiency in operating a personal computer, including using a Windows-based operating system and related software. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $26.50 – $26.50/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
