Full Job Description Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Mazak Laser Operator to operate and maintain Mazak laser cutting machines. The ideal candidate will have experience with CNC laser equipment, an eye for precision, and a commitment to safety and quality standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up, operate, and monitor Mazak laser cutting machines to process metal parts according to specifications Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and job orders to determine machine settings and material requirements Adjust machine settings, perform test runs, and make necessary modifications for optimal performance Inspect finished parts for accuracy and quality using measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of laser equipment Troubleshoot issues with equipment and escalate mechanical problems as needed Maintain clean and organized work area and comply with all safety guidelines Accurately record production data, job times, and material usage
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required Previous experience operating Mazak laser machines or similar CNC laser equipment Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings Familiarity with metal types, gauges, and tolerances Strong attention to detail and quality Good math and problem-solving skills Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to [X] lbs
Schedule:
Monday•Thursday 4:00 PM•2:30 AM (4 10 hour shifts)
Preferred Skills:
Experience with Mazak Smart System or Mazatrol controls Forklift certification (if applicable) Basic knowledge of CAD/CAM software
