This individual will be involved with the machining of a variety of materials to produce parts that meet dimensional and workmanship standards per Laitram Machine Shop’s Quality Management System. Responsibilities Deburr and clean parts as needed for safety and/or customer technical requirements Assist/complete assembly in accordance to customer and drawing requirements Assist in modification of molded sprockets using dedicated equipment Meets or exceed production time standards while exceeding customer expectations Work a flexible schedule as needed to meet customer demand Follow the attendance policy outlined for department Follow all safety procedures and Policies Complete error free transaction in Kronos/Oracle Recommend/complete routing updates with work instructions and production standards Assist in various area’s in the shop as customer demand requires Requirements High school diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent Stable work experience in a production environment Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to work well with others in a team-oriented environment Possess a strong attention to detail Able to work under the pressure of deadlines Must be willing and able to perform a variety of tasks in support of short and long-term department goals Must be able to perform the essential job requirements identified in the Functional Job Description for this position, including the ability to lift and move 50 lbs Desired Qualifications Previous assembly experience Ability to work in Microsoft word, Excel and Outlook EOE/M/F/Vet/Disabled
