About the role
Engage2excel is looking for a Laser Engraver / Laser Assembler. This position is a manual handling, labor intensive job. The Engraver prepares the machine to laser engrave each award item based on the bill of materials. Each item is then inspected, cleaned, engraving is proofed, and the product is boxed/labeled. The right candidate should have intermediate computer skills. As part of your primary responsibilities, you will:
Hand and power tools will be used to affix plates
Lift boxes 50lbs or less to load and unload product
Identify defective materials or questionable conditions and take action to correct them
Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations
Flexible to work in all of the various job-related categories
Assemble various items and sort according to packet slips

Good eyesight; Good hand-eye coordination; Aptitude for “hands-on” manufacturing related work
Must have the ability to work standing, bending and lifting to approximately 50 pounds during a typical workday
Ability to perform work with same physical movements Flexible with hours, some overtime will be needed
Intermediate computer skills. Excel & JDEdwards knowledge a plus.

Lifting boxes, standing the entire workday, repetitious movement with hands.
