Job Title:

Magnetizer Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Magnetizer to join our team. This role involves working in a production manufacturing facility where you will be responsible for assembling small to large pieces according to blueprints. You will calibrate and operate magnetizing/demagnetizing equipment and presses, utilize calipers and other measuring equipment, and maintain proper documentation. Strong hand-eye coordination and attention to detail are essential for success in this position. Responsibilities Assemble small to large pieces based on blueprints. Calibrate and operate magnetizing/demagnetizing equipment and presses. Utilize calipers and other measuring equipment. Maintain proper documentation. Perform repetitive work with rotation of duties to minimize repetition. Work in areas with excessive noise, using provided ear protection. Handle exposure to industrial oils, coolants, solvents, lubricants, adhesives, and other chemicals while adhering to safety precautions. Be willing to work beyond normal hours if needed. Essential Skills Experience with small parts assembly. Mechanical aptitude. Proficiency in using calipers and micrometers. Skill in operating presses. Attention to detail. Additional Skills & Qualifications Ability to stand all day. Preference for candidates who enjoy working on automotive vehicles. Capability to lift up to 50 lbs. Why Work Here? Work Environment This position involves working in a production setting, primarily independently, within a climate-controlled environment. The role includes working on either the first shift from 5:30 AM to 3:00 PM Monday to Thursday, and 5:30 AM to 9:30 AM on Fridays, or the second shift from 3:00 PM to 12:15 AM Monday to Thursday, and 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Fridays, with potential mandatory overtime on Fridays. Employees may earn a 10% shift differential. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rochester, New York. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.00 – $20.90/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
