Position Overview:

The Polisher responsible for polishing products to correct defects or to prepare surfaces for further finishing, using hand tools and power tools, as well as deburr objects or parts.

Essential Job Functions:

Safety Sensitive position. Operate hand tools and power tools. Grind, sand, clean or polish assembled unit using hand tools or power tools. Secure buffing wheel or machine arbor using hand tools. Apply polishing compound, chemicals, and solutions. Move controls to adjust, start, or stop equipment during the polishing process. Inspect final unit to ensure specifications are met. Read work order or blueprints to determine assemble sequence. Maintain cleanliness in assigned area. Maintain all safety standards. Support other departments as necessary. Perform additional assignments in accordance with the Shop Supervisor’s direction. Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.

Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:

Knowledge of hand tools and power tools, including their design, use, and maintenance. Attention to detail. Excellent time management skills. Good communication skills. Good organizational skills. Proficient basic math skills. Ability to work in a demanding, multi-task environment Ability to work harmoniously with co-workers and vendors Education and/or

Experience:

High school diploma or GED Minimum of one (1) year of related experience
