Description:

Produces deburred parts from Laser/Waterjet by setting up, and operating a COSTA time saver deburr machine, grinding or polishing parts to remove sharp edges from material, and maintaining quality and safety standards; maintaining equipment and supplies.

Requirements:

Inspect parts per inspection procedure and ensure there are no sharp edges or metal tags. Ensure correct qty’s for each job have been cut. Responsible for taking parts to next operation/department. Keep Deburr machine in good working condition, preventative maintenance schedule followed, condition of components, Tools and cleanliness utilized through the Daily check procedure and PM procedures. Maintain and organize material racks and carts for future or upcoming jobs. Keep floor swept and area clean during shift times. Maintain a clean and safe work area at all times. Assist machine shop in other functions when caught up on work travelers/Deburr. Assist with machine maintenance when necessary. Complete work travelers by following operation procedure and accurately deburring parts per work instructions and drawings. Performs other related duties/projects as assigned.

Job Requirements:

Proficient with operation of Deburr machine setup and controls. Ability and understanding of how to use power tools(grinders). Ability to read and interpret prints or drawings. Ability to stand for long periods of time. Ability to drive forklift after certified. Strong understanding of material properties. Attentive to all safety precautions and procedures when operating machines.
