Full-Time, Hourly Schaefer’s Electrical Enclosures is seeking a dependable and detail-focused Polisher to join our finishing team. This role plays a vital part in ensuring our enclosures meet the high standards of quality and appearance our customers expect. As a Polisher, you will be responsible for preparing metal surfaces by smoothing out welds, removing imperfections, and applying a clean, consistent finish to stainless steel and other materials used in our enclosure products. The ideal candidate enjoys working with their hands, pays close attention to detail, and understands the importance of craftsmanship in a manufacturing environment. You will use a variety of tools, including handheld grinders, sanders, and polishing equipment, to produce professional surface finishes. A key part of this job involves identifying and correcting surface defects and inconsistencies while ensuring each part meets company standards before it moves on to final assembly or shipping. This position requires frequent collaboration with welders, fabricators, and quality inspectors. A strong team mindset and the ability to follow instructions and work with precision are essential. You’ll need to be comfortable in a fast-paced industrial setting and be physically able to stand, bend, and lift throughout your shift. Most of your day will be spent on your feet, using tools to work on stainless steel parts of various sizes and shapes. Prior experience in polishing or metal finishing is helpful but not required. We’re willing to train candidates who demonstrate a strong work ethic, mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to quality. A high school diploma or GED is preferred. All employees are expected to follow company safety guidelines, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment such as gloves, safety glasses, and hearing protection.
