Mooresville, NC 28115 This is an hourly position – Starting pay is $17 and will increase with proficiency. The Finisher is responsible for the safe cleaning and finishing of 3D printed parts in accordance with customer requirements. Identifying quality non-conformances related to build issues, parts cleaning, sanding and blasting.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Utilize blasting machine to properly finish parts. Effectively use appropriate tools to create a smooth, clean surface according to specified finish levels. Count parts and verify order quantities and customer specifications have been met. Wear all required PPE and remind others to do so, also. Interact with Lead Finisher, Quality Inspector and Production Manager regarding issues with order quantities or part quality. Maintain clean and safe environment. Assist in the removal and disposal of contaminated materials. Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed. Do whatever it takes to get the job done. Continually seek to improve work processes and individual performance. Participate in facilities upkeep (Dust Control and control of FOD) This job description is subject to change at any time.

Qualifications:

High School or GED equivalent minimum. Strong attention to detail, quality conscious and ability to focus on one task for extended periods. Ability to use measuring tools such as calipers, gage pins and height gages, for example. Ability to delicately hand finish small parts using various hand tools. Must be able to understand good written and oral communications. Must be able to be at work on time for all scheduled hours. Overtime may be required occasionally. Must be able to actively contribute in a team-based environment, encourage open communication and positive interaction with peers and management to effectively reach a common goal, in a fast-paced environment. Safety is a core value. Able to work safely with sharp tools/objects including knives, files, abrasives, rotary tools, general cutters and more. Able to follow directions from Supervisors and Team Leaders. For ITAR compliance, all employees at this location must be U.S. citizens or have Permanent Resident status. Must have a valid driver’s license. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Standing and walking for extended periods of time are sometimes required.
