Job Description
Position Summary:
Uses established mixing standards to create various finishes and protective coatings. Applies combinations of finishes and protective coatings to Conestoga components and cabinets using pneumatic hand-held sprayers. Follows established policies and guideline with regard to safety, quality, and timeliness.
Essential Job Functions
- Must be familiar with basic machine functions in order to perform specified tasks
- Sets up the spray equipment and ensures all finishes and coatings are mixed according to specifications
- Ensures surfaces to be covered are prepared correctly
- Ability to apply various coats of primer and basecoats
- Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the appropriate team leader
- Ensures the quality of the finished product meets the specifications of Conestoga standards of quality
- Ensures all equipment is working properly
- Works with team members to maximize productivity, quality, safety, delivery, and yield regularly meeting all metric expectations. Must be willing to work other positions when needed and directed by supervisor
- Completes tasks as directed by manufacturing schedules with minimal supervision
