SPECIALIST

Introduction:

Tampco is a stainless steel fabrication company located in Elkin, NC. We have been in business since 1975 producing various stainless steel products, primarily out of tubing. We service many customers in various fields, from RVs, swim spas, agriculture, and medical/ emergency services. Our primary customer base is in the marine industry, where we are an OEM supplier to over 60 marine manufacturers.

Job Description:

• Use handheld and floor mounted buffers to polish stainless steel products
• Use a D/A (“dual action” / orbital) sander to sand imperfections in tubular and flat metal.
• Minimum speed requirements must be maintained after an introoductory/learning period
• Will work individually and as a team
• Company provided PPE Previous experience with metal fabrication/ finishing is preferred but not required
• Must be able to pass a drug test and background check
• Must be 18 or older
• Must be able to work on your feet for extended periods
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
• Must be able to hold and use a buffer or sander for long periods of time Must be able to work in a dusty environment
• Must have a good eye for aesthetics and detail
• Must be able to stay on task and be self motivated
• Must be able to work overtime periodically We are looking to add the right individual(s) to our Finishing Department.
