Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Torch Fabricator to join our team. The Torch Fabricator will be responsible for operating cutting torches to shear and process metal scrap efficiently and safely. The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role and possess a strong understanding of metal cutting and safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate cutting torches and other related equipment to process metal scrap. Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on cutting equipment. Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe work environment. Monitor and adjust equipment settings to achieve desired cutting results. Inspect materials and equipment to identify any issues or malfunctions. Maintain accurate records of work performed, including material usage and equipment status. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and effective operation of the shredding process. Follow company procedures for waste management and recycling.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent. Proven experience as a Torch Fabricator or in a similar role within a recycling or metal processing environment. Strong knowledge of cutting torch operation and maintenance. Familiarity with safety regulations and procedures related to metal cutting and recycling. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good communication skills and attention to detail. Physical ability to perform tasks that involve heavy lifting, standing for extended periods, and working in various environmental conditions.

Working Conditions:

The role requires working in a recycling facility, which may involve exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures. Personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn at all times.
