Grinder Position Available In Knox, Tennessee

Job Summary:

We are currently hiring aMetal Grinderto support production in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The Metal Grinder is responsible for grinding, smoothing, and finishing metal parts and components using hand tools and power equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to follow safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate grinders (bench, angle, or surface) and other finishing tools to remove excess material, burrs, or imperfections from metal parts
• Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality and dimensional specifications
• Use measurement tools (e.g., calipers, gauges) to verify product accuracy
• Interpret work orders, blueprints, or drawings for grinding specifications
• Set up and adjust grinding equipment based on part requirements
• Maintain a clean and safe work area, following all safety protocols and wearing required PPE
• Identify defective or damaged parts and notify supervisor as needed
• Perform routine equipment checks and basic maintenance
• Collaborate with other team members to meet production goals and deadlines.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a grinder, metal finisher, or similar role in manufacturing preferred
• Ability to use grinding tools and measuring equipment accurately
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs., stand, bend, and perform repetitive tasks
• Basic math and mechanical skills
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
• Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
• E-Verify eligibility required.
