Agricultural Service Technician Coblentz Equipment & Parts LLC Montgomery, AL 36117 Job Overview We are seeking an experienced and skilled Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing top-notch maintenance and repair services for our clients. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated and hardworking individual to work on a variety of lawn maintenance and agricultural equipment. Duties Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of various agriculture equipment and lawn maintenance equipment. Use mechanical knowledge to diagnose and resolve issues with small engines (ie: handhelds and mowers), tractors, and other types of agricultural equipment. Interpret schematics and technical diagrams to identify and address problems. Build and install new systems or equipment as needed. Weld and fabricate metal components as required. Ensure that all work is completed in accordance with safety guidelines and manufacturer specifications. Effectively communicate with service advisor and service director on assigned jobs. Document all work performed and provide detailed reports to clients. Ensure all parts and accessories that are installed are accounted for on work orders. Consistently achieve agreed-upon productivity and collectible efficiency goals. Participate in required training as well as take personal initiative to stay up-to-date on relevant service knowledge, bulletins, and other changes regarding new and existing products. Provide and maintain the hand tools required to efficiently complete assigned work. Maintain a clean and organized work environment. Requirements Experience level of new trade school graduate or minimum of 2 years’ experience with construction, agricultural or heavy truck/diesel engines and related systems. Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and reliable transportation to get to and from work on time as well as be able to use company vehicles. Arrive on time and work for 40 hours a week with minimal unexcused absences. Basic computer skills (clocking in/out on the computer, making annotations on work orders, and identifying parts/part numbers from parts diagrams). Comfortable operating basic agricultural and lawn maintenance equipment Skills Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems Proficiency in small engine and tractor repair and maintenance. Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical diagrams. Knowledge of environmental and manufacturer safety regulations. Experience with welding and fabrication techniques. Possession of HVAC certification or CDL certification Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
