Food Safety & Quality Control Technician Confidential Orlando, FL 32824 Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Safety Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with safety regulations and quality standards within our operations. This position involves conducting quality audits, data collection, and utilizing various inspection systems to maintain the highest levels of safety and quality control. This position will be working in the second shift. Position Responsibilities and Objectives Ensure the safety of oneself and others within the manufacturing environment. Take responsibility for food safety and quality assurance. Report any food safety concerns to designated personnel. Collaborate effectively with team members to promote teamwork. Arrive punctually and in appropriate uniform, including Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Identify and report any Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) violations to management. Conduct audits of product labeling and communicate any discrepancies to supervisors. Monitor operators and oversee the mixing process, including the selection of ingredients and recipes. Verify the weight, temperature, and dimensions of dough and finished products. Ensure adherence to policies regarding glass and brittle plastic. Monitor baking and freezing conditions to ensure product integrity is maintained. Conduct metal detection checks in accordance with Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) guidelines. Send product samples for laboratory analysis as necessary. Manage product inventory counts and conduct shelf-life studies. Place products on hold in response to quality concerns. Perform environmental checks and swabbing as required. Ensure that the correct line images are displayed prominently. Monitor temperature and humidity levels in proofers. Education & Experience High School Diploma or its equivalency in experience and/or training.
