Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control Lab Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that products meet the required quality standards through appropriate testing and inspection processes. You will utilize various precision measuring instruments and adhere to FDA regulations and quality systems, including SQF, HACCP, and GMP guidelines. This position is essential in maintaining the integrity of our products and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Responsibilities:

1. Evaluating all manufactured product against the standard, with the QC Team. This includes Brix, pH, Titratable Acidity, Flavor Profile, Viscosity and Bostwick testing. Approval for packaging after testing of preceding parameters. 2. Review of all Batch Cards before and after production for accurate completion and filing each day. 3. Review all labels for accuracy of ingredients and assure proper placement to the appropriate product before production can begin.. 4. Inspection of all plant CCP’s for every product manufactured: thermal, screens, magnets, filters. 5. Review and approval of Certificate of Analysis for production produced and ALL material received into Jogues’s facility. 6. Work with Warehouse and Production team to properly organize the warehouse for goal of 5S. 7. Respond to all QC documentation requests within 24 hours. 8. Review of all Kosher certificates and maintenance of the Jogue Kosher list for this Jogue facility. 9. Daily review and approval of all department’s compliance with Quality parameters before dismissal. 10. Assure the employees and facility are compliant with GMP policies such as hair/beard net usage, hand wash stations supplied and working properly, and employees are wearing clean uniforms 11. Maintain accountability of tools used in the production area that could lead to a food safety issue such as blades used to cut bags. 12. Maintenance of our flavor inventory. Ensuring flavors are properly labeled and rechecked for strength and taste profile for potential shelf-life extensions. 13. Recording of all relevant SQF documentation using proper GDP procedures such as Refrigeration temps, Freezer temps, Scale Calibration, Thermometer Calibration, Shipping and Receiving logs. 14. Be capable of successfully obtaining a SQF Practitioner certification within 6 months of hire (Jogue will cover the costs of becoming certified). 15. Assisting with the verification of all inbound materials and receiving logs. 16. Creating specification Sheets and SDS sheets for all customer requests. 17. Review of

ALL HACCP

plans and continuous updating and adjustments based on the facility’s needs. 18. Other duties as assigned.

Experience:

2 + years of experience in a quality control or laboratory environment is required. Familiarity with quality inspection techniques and methodologies. Knowledge of FDA regulations, SQF, HACCP, and GMP practices is highly desirable. Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical skills. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Hours & Working Conditions:

Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM. Overtime is not mandatory but preferred when offered. Overtime is paid at 1.5 times the hourly rate for hours in excess of 40 hours per week in the pay period. The temperature of Jogue’s shipping area is not air-conditioned. Equipment does heat production rooms, and fans create a safe working environment for employees.
