Technician Lead Job Overview:

The Equipment Technician possesses strong technical skills to accurately test, diagnose and maintain FairWave equipment for our Market Cafes and wholesale clients. The ideal candidate can work efficiently and accurately in our fast-paced environment to ensure that equipment is quickly restored to operational status to meet daily business needs.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Engage with team members cross-departmentally to achieve target goals timely and effectively.
• Respond to vendor/customer service calls within 24 hours or less.
• Work with your Direct Leader to ensure you and other equipment technicians understand the weekly service schedule and loop-in accountable Sales Representatives as needed.
• Provide training and guidance to operators and maintenance staff on equipment operation, maintenance procedures, and safety protocols to enhance their skills and promote equipment reliability.
• Assist in building and maintaining a current equipment inventory for the assigned Market.
• Execute a preventative service program for both FairWave Café equipment as well as vendor/customer equipment.
• Inspect and detect equipment issues to provide timely service solutions including replacing or repairing parts to return the equipment to operational levels.
• Manage equipment installations and collaborate with other accountable parties as needed to execute the task.
• Document and invoice serviced equipment correctly.
• Conduct all customer/vendor complaints in a humble, patient, and timely manner.
• Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with Company policy and accepted Wholesale Department practices.
• Follow company policies and procedures as approved by the leadership team.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills:

• 2+ years of small kitchen equipment service experience, preferably on beverage machines.
• Barista or Coffee brewing/roasting knowledge is strongly preferred.
• Valid driver’s license
• Able to work nights and weekends as needed
• Ability to lead by example using a hands-on, shoulder-to-shoulder work ethic.
• Strong customer service skills
• Passion for locality and the communities in which we live
• Must be able to lift 50 lb

$25.00 – $28.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week
