- As a Nutrition Manager you will plan, coordinate, and manage nutrition and operational support for the assigned Region.
In this role, you will develop various menus and nutrition programs that meet the needs of our clients. You will function as a member of the multidisciplinary Region team to establish and maintain LOB processes, standards, and programs. Virtual and on-site training in various food software systems is a key responsibility of the Nutrition Manager.
- Job Responsibilities
- + Develops a strong level of trust and credibility with clients and the field regarding the technical nutritional competency of Aramark Correctional Services.
+ Provides technical expertise in operational menu planning for the Region for regular, therapeutic, religious, and juvenile nutritional needs. Requires an understanding of current applicable nutrition-related government regulations and current nutrition research knowledge for application to meet client needs. Considerations for every opportunity include balancing budgetary restraints with nutritional requirements and client specifications. + Assists in the development of the Quality Assurance (OpX) operating standards for the LOB. Assures compliance with contract, food cost targets, American Correctional Association (ACA), and USDA compliance for juveniles. + Utilizes Aramark?s operational food production software system to assure compliance with foodservice standards. + Provides support within the Region in the execution of ACS operational standards via development of tools and training. Interacts with Front Line Managers regularly to provide them the needed tools and information. + Provides support for the Region related to Supply Chain Management (SCM). Acts as the liaison to the field operators and SCM for procurement and distribution. Supports the execution of processes to ensure compliance with purchasing programs. + Participates in the budget process, establishing accurate food cost targets. + Works with and reports to the Senior Manager, Nutrition & Operational Support Services of the Region in delivering Region Support. + Maintains compliance with Aramark’s standards of operation, client contracts, and Aramark’s Business Conduct Policy. Maintains all records and reports necessary to comply with Aramark/HSS, government, and accrediting agency standards, regulations, and codes. + Maintains registration status through the Commission on Dietetic Registration and Licensure through the state board as required within the Region. + Maintains professional continuing education annually. + Comfort with technology and openness to using AI-based tools to support and enhance daily responsibilities. + 20-40% travel within the region based on business need. + Other duties as assigned.
- Qualifications
- + Registered Dietitian (RD) through the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) + Bachelor’s Degree + 2-4 years of relevant experience (food service operations management experience preferred) + Ability to accurately and efficiently utilize a food production software system.
+ Ability to build relationships, communicate effectively with clients, front line managers, sales, operations and support staff. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office. + Valid driver?s license.
