GENERAL RESPONSIBILITY
Prepare breakfast, lunch and assist with snack preparation for children and staff, maintain a clean kitchen, and assist in planning menus.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare nutritious and tasty food for breakfast, and lunch, and serve at specific times. Also assist in preparing food for snack when necessary. Maintain a clean, neat kitchen according to requirements of DHEC and accrediting boards. This includes cleaning all equipment, appliances and storage units. Wash all dishes and utensils used in preparing, serving and eating. Organize and maintain a perpetual inventory of supplies and equipment. This includes labeling and dating all food entering the kitchen. Maintain accurate detailed food production records, milk inventory, etc. required by the child care program. Assist Food Service Manager in monitoring and inventorying purchases. Submit supply order and report to Food Service Manager. Perform associated duties as assigned. Work cooperatively with all staff. Attend trainings as required.
