QUALITY & FOOD SAFETY TECHNICIAN

Job Description The Quality & Food Safety Technician will be responsible for efficiently ensuring the safety of our raw goods, work-in-process product, and finished product, emphasizing food safety, quality, and continuous improvement. What are we looking for? Education and Professional Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent Knowledge/Experience Preferable experience with Ready To Eat, or pet food manufacturing with progressive leadership responsibilities; with GFSI experience Understanding of G Suite tools including Slides, Sheets, and Docs. Strong verbal and written communication skills (Ability to deal tactfully and courteously with co-workers and vendors). Ability to think critically, troubleshoot, and problem-solve. Must be flexible to work weekends and other shifts as needed. Able to work well independently, self-motivated, and as a team member. Able to meet the physical requirements of the position requiring heavy lifting up to 50 pounds carrying tools and supplies, kneeling, stooping, climbing, and standing on feet for long periods. What will be your key responsibilities? Assist Quality Manager in cultural development and implementation of food safety and quality standards. Assist Quality Systems; Training Manager in development, implementation and training of quality systems program and training tools. Provide training to new team members. Implements, adheres, and audits all food safety and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) requirements. Monitor production records for completion and accuracy. Manually enter data in an accurate and timely fashion. Perform environmental swabbing and report results accurately. Verify lot code information of raw goods and finished product. Prepare ingredient/work-in-process/finished product samples for third party laboratory testing Verify instruments and equipment for accuracy and calibrate when necessary Perform and accurately document pre-operational inspections of facility, equipment and instruments and report findings Monitor supply inventory What can you expect from Nom Nom?
