Job Summary Carry out daily pre-operational tasks with the pre-op team (i.e., the first inspection of the day before the sanitation team is done and before the production team starts) Conduct inspection checks on incoming goods, production processes and finished sausage and pork products Ensure employees adhere to safety standards and quality assurance policies Ensure compliance to SOPs & SSOPs Conduct environmental sampling and analysis to monitor facility sanitation Interpret, analyze, and communicate quality and food safety issues, both internal and external (consumer complaints), and initiates applicable corrective measures Support in maintaining compliance to annual training requirements for employees on procedures such as

HACCP, SQF

policies, GMP’s, Sanitation, etc. Support with Customer and Food safety audits Expand and maintain a digital label database for all products Qualifications Bilingual abilities (English and Spanish) are not required but preferred Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and proficiency with computers required High School Diploma required; college or technical school training is desirable The ability to train and teach others Comfortable in a production environment (i.e., around noisy machinery, physically able to stand and move for considerable parts of the day, sometimes entering a freezer) Having experience in a related field, a good head for business and being a foodie is a plus.
