A high school diploma and one year of appropriate experience. Appropriate college coursework or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Assist with the management of department assets
Assist with locating, decaling, scanning, and maintaining departmental capital and attractive assets
Responsible for updating capital and attractive asset information in myAssets (university official record keeping system) for assigned Housing facilities
Assist with loading/unloading materials and supplies from delivery trucks by hand or with forklift delivering to receiving areas/storage areas ensuring orders received are complete and accurate; ability to lift 50lbs is required
Pull supply requests from inventory to fulfill requests; Deliver goods to Housing facilities, as directed
Maintain and organize inventory such as furniture and supplies in assigned Housing facilities
Conduct physical inventory of departmental assets
Ensure compliance with safety standards, OSHA, ADA and other relevant regulations at all times
Remove, install, and transport equipment, furniture, and supplies to departmental facilities
Responsible for removing, installing, and transporting heavy/large equipment and furniture to/from facilities, as directed
Coordinate transfer and transport of assets within departmental facilities to UF Surplus or county transfer station
Perform furniture assembly, conduct minor repairs, and address replacement needs of furniture
Ensure vehicles are equipped with proper equipment such as tools, furniture parts, and moving dollies daily
Set up equipment needed for special events including but not limited to tables, chairs, tents, and risers, as directed Process reports utilizing work order management system
Manage the life cycle of assigned work orders for furniture related issues
Prioritize work orders based on type of requests; plan and execute their efficient completion
Connect with students to explain departmental policies related to furniture, installation, and needs
Develop reports, handle special projects, tasks, and other duties as assigned Operates state vehicles

QUALIFICATIONS

PHYSICAL QUALIFICATIONS

Lift heavy objects; move items weighing 50lbs or more
Climb (including stairs and ladders daily)
Reach above shoulders frequently
Kneel and bend repeatedly
Pull and push repetitively
Stand for extended periods (up to seven hours daily)
Work in direct sunlight and heat for extended period
Perform other types of physical exertion necessary for task completion
Ability to operate vehicles (e.g. flatbed truck, box truck, forklift)
