$34.2K – $42.5K a year 7 hours ago Qualifications OSHA Mid-level 3 years High school diploma or GED Pallet jack Communication skills Time management Full Job Description The essential duties of this role are to work on and off site delivering / collecting, handling, installing and packing art works. We are looking for skilled Art Handlers and Art Installers. Key Responsibilities for an Art Handler are the following: Collections and deliveries on a daily basis, locally and interstate as needed Handle and control all paperwork when on site or working in the field, including all condition reporting for goods Ensure vehicle used is always safe, clean and prepared for the day or trip as required, verify what goods are needed at the start of every day or trip based on the daily trip sheet or trip manifest Ensure all modifications to daily trip manifest are reported and verified by the Dispatch Manager prior to making any modifications Proper handling, of art objects, fragile and artistic material, antique and fine furniture Assist with installation projects Preparation of condition checks and condition reports as needed Pack artworks, antiquities and fine furniture for transportation and storage Training lower grade art handlers when required Assist in the loading and unloading of trucks Ensure a high degree of detail and focus on every job Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise we look for include: High school diploma / GED required Three years of experience in the art handling industry; packing, handling and installing on a local and interstate basis Three years of logistical, warehousing and moving experience Understanding of inventory processes and the ability to learn how to improve on handling art and antiquities from collection through to installation Excellent problem-solving skills Familiarity with OSHA regulations Excellent organizational and time management skills Impeccable communication and multitasking skills Ability to accurately execute detailed paperwork and condition reporting Team player, able to work with all levels of staff in a dynamic environment Comfortable in a results-driven workplace Experience with the use of hand trucks, pallet jacks, jbars, dollies and other necessary logistics equipment Ability to safely lift 70 pounds and maneuver objects of substantial size and weight on a daily basis without damage to object or person, including the ability to push and pull 150 pounds on a dolly or cart Ability to stand, walk, squat, bend, kneel, crouch, twist and reach overhead
