Golden Oldies Antiques is a renowned antique store specializing in unique, one-of-a-kind pieces from around the world. We are seeking a skilled and passionate Furniture Restoration Expert to join our team and help maintain the integrity and beauty of our antique inventory.

Job Responsibilities:

Assess, repair, and restore antique furniture to preserve original craftsmanship and value. Perform a wide range of restoration techniques including stripping, sanding, staining, painting, sealing, and veneering. Repair structural damages such as loose joints, broken legs, and hardware issues. Refinish surfaces using appropriate techniques to match original finishes while maintaining authenticity. Clean, polish, and treat wood surfaces to enhance longevity. Collaborate with team members to prioritize restoration projects. Maintain workshop cleanliness and adhere to safety protocols. Communicate restoration plans and timelines clearly with management.

Qualifications:

Proven experience in antique furniture restoration or related field. Strong knowledge of historical furniture styles, woodworking techniques, and finishing methods. Skilled with hand tools, power tools, and restoration materials. Exceptional attention to detail and craftsmanship. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
