Furniture Installer Mr. Mike’s Home Repair Tarawa Terrace, NC 28543 We are a Christian-owned and operated business looking for hardworking, dependable team members who take pride in what they do. This isn’t your average furniture assembly job — our furniture arrives fully assembled. Your primary responsibility will be transporting and installing heavy furniture, often moving 200+ lb items using powered equipment like electric stair-climbing dollies, pallet jacks, and forklifts. We’re working under a federal base contract, so all applicants must pass a background check and drug screening to obtain base access. About the Role We’re seeking individuals who enjoy a physical challenge and think like problem solvers. This is a logistics-heavy job — success depends on your ability to plan efficient moves, protect property and people, and maintain pace without sacrificing safety. What You’ll Do Safely move and place fully assembled furniture in designated spaces Operate electric dollies, pallet jacks, and other equipment to move heavy objects Work on teams to deliver and install 20+ rooms of furniture per day across 3 locations (9 rooms per location/team) Communicate clearly and professionally on-site Follow safety protocols and quality standards Maintain equipment and assist with loading/unloading Requirements Able to pass base background check and drug test Physically capable of lifting and moving heavy items daily Team-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving skills Valid driver’s license preferred Experience with moving or logistics is a plus, but we will train the right individuals Reliable, honest, and driven to get better every day Why Join Us?
