Your Day at Lowe’sAs a Customer Service Associate, you will welcome customers toLowe’s and help them find the right products and services for theirhome improvement needs. You will interact with customers throughoutthe day, help them find and select products, occasionally loadmerchandise, and ensure all customer needs are met. While you willspend most of your time listening to customers, answeringquestions, and organizing merchandise, your daily responsibilitiesmay vary by department. Customer Service Associates work in one ofthe following departments, based on hiring needs and skillsets:
Appliances, Cabinets, Flooring, Live Nursery, Inside Garden,Hardware, Tools, Millwork, Building Materials, Plumbing,Electrical, Paint, Home Décor, Tool Rental, or Pro Services. KeyResponsibilities
- Welcome customers to Lowe’s, answer questions,and deliver friendly and professional customer service.
- Assistcustomers with locating and handling merchandise
- Down stockmerchandise by looking for empty areas on shelves and replenishingsupplies
- Process orders and deliveries accurately so customersreceive merchandise as expected and on time
- Cross-functionallytrain in other areas of the store to help deliver the best customerservice
- Prepare merchandise in your department based on customerneeds (e.g., tint and mix paint, cut and thread pipe, cut andbundle wood, cut drywall, cut blinds)
- Guide customers throughshopping or checkout
- Complete other duties as assigned MinimumQualifications
- 6 Months Experience using a computer, includinginputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information
- 6Months Experience using common retail technology, such as smartphones and tablets
- Reading, writing, and performing basicarithmetic (addition and subtraction)
- Able to perform duties thatmay require prolonged standing, sitting, and other activitiesnecessary to perform job duties
- Minimally lift 25lbs unassistedor over 25lbs with or without an accommodation PreferredQualifications
- 6 months of Retail and/or customer serviceexperience
- Bi-lingual skills
- Certification in trade related todepartment (e.

TravelRequirements This role does not require regular travel; however,this role may need to travel occasionally to meetings, training, orto support neighboring stores. Working Conditions Environmentalfactors vary by location. You may be working in both inside andoutside weather conditions. Exposure to varying climates, includingextreme heat or cold, wet, damp, humid, windy, or draftyconditions, is possible. You may be exposed to constant orintermittent noises in addition to moving or shaking objects andequipment. Lifting methods vary based on role, weight, and volume.
