This is a hands-on role supporting skilled craftsmen with sanding, stripping, finishing, cleaning, moving furniture, and general upkeep of the shop. The ideal candidate is punctual, takes direction well, and is willing to learn. No prior experience required — just a good attitude and strong work ethic. Responsibilities Assist with sanding, stripping, staining, and finishing furniture Move and handle furniture safely throughout the shop Maintain a clean and organized work area Follow directions from lead technicians and management Help with loading and unloading deliveries Use basic hand tools and shop equipment (training provided) Wear proper safety gear during all tasks Skills Strong attention to detail Willingness to learn and take direction Ability to lift and move heavy furniture (up to 75 lbs) Basic understanding of hand tools and shop safety (or willingness to learn) Dependable with good attendance and punctuality Positive attitude and team mindset Ability to work on your feet for extended periods No prior experience required — we’ll train the right person If you are looking for an opportunity to grow your skills in a supportive environment while contributing to meaningful projects, we encourage you to apply for the Shop Assistant position.
