POSITION SUMMARY

Able to read and interpret drawings to properly select the correct materials as specified. Ability to determine and interpret precise dimensions (lengths, widths, thickness, angles, etc) and material specification of parts and materials within tolerances as specified. Ability to set up, start, operate and maintain the Press Roll Form in accordance with owner’s manual and Process Barron safety guidelines and requirements. Able to program the Press Roll Form based on specified dimensions, hole size, clearances, spacing, etc and select appropriate tooling to maintain specified tolerances. Ability to operate crane, forklift, or other mechanisms to safely lift, move, place and manipulate parts and materials. Organizational ability to perform material takeoff, part counts, inventory counts as used and/or returned to inventory. Organizes and packages or arranges finished parts in a manner that promotes ease of next operation. Maintains an organized, safe and clean area of operation in accordance with 5S guidelines.

RESPONSIBILITIES & EXPECTATIONS

1. Build Steel Structures Capable of reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications to assist and support the manufacture of large structural and mechanical fabrications Perform work with understanding and ability to operate various hand and power tools Keep your work areas cleaned up Analyze diagrams and specifications and cut/form plate metal as required with applicable equipment Evaluate finished products and perform quality checks on products 2. Safety Perform required workplace and equipment pre-shift inspections Tell the Foreman and/or Manager of any safety hazards Participate in the Continuous Improvement of the operation Administer all duties in a safe and efficient manner 3. Do any other work as assigned and trained to do Do any assigned work to the best of your ability and training Perform required workplace and equipment pre-shift or post-shift inspections and maintenance

The employee will be exposed to the following working conditions: Extreme Heat and Cold, Noise, Vibration, Oils, and Atmospheric Conditions such as Dust, Fumes, and Mineral Particles. The employee will be required to perform the following actions (from time to time): Standing, walking, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, talking, seeing, hearing and sitting. Ability to consistently lift over 50 pounds as needed

Required Experience:

1 or more years’ experience in a fabrication shop

Required Education:

High School Diploma or equivalency

Preferred Education:

Technical College Certification
