This position is assigned to Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, FL. This position is not eligible for telecommuting. Essential Functions Maintain hardware for intricate, complex and extensive UNIX, AIX, IBM and VMS computer systems
Maintain hardware for RADAR monitoring and circuit selection systems
Maintain hardware for Surveillance systems in support of FURUNO radars
Perform daily system verifications
Support verifications of launch support systems using instructions and checklists
Perform Preventive Maintenance (PM) procedures with supervision
Perform Corrective Maintenance (CM) procedures with supervision
Complete system training using Enterprise Qualification Requirements (EQR) within documented time schedules
Maintain security requirements per instructions and checklists
Maintain repair parts inventory, property control, test equipment within calibration periodicity, and HAZMAT safety
Support company safety culture, assume accountability and responsibility for safe work practices
Perform other duties as assigned Required Skills Basic analytical and problem-solving skills
Good oral and written communication skills
Basic ability to write reports
Basic ability to read and understand schematics, elevation, and assembly drawings
Ability to maintain a positive attitude and be reliable in a very dynamic environment
Ability to interface with all levels of personnel in a diverse, team-orientated environment
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relations with employees and the public Required Experience AS Degree in Electronic Technology, or two-year technical school, equivalent military experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
0 – 2 years of experience in electronic technology
Basic understanding of test, diagnostic, and measurement equipment to include Oscilloscopes, Signal Generators, and analog/digital meters
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Experience related to the hardware operation and maintenance of computer systems including common network systems, servers, workstations, routers, concentrators, modems, and input/output devices, preferred
Experience performing technical instructions and checklists, preferred
Experience performing Preventive and Corrective Maintenance on computer systems, preferred
Experience with VAX or Window operating systems, preferred
Experience using VISIO and .pdf documents, preferred
Experience working with quality standards, preferred Additional Eligibility Qualifications Ability lift, carry and maneuver 50 pounds of computer and support components
Ability to access crawl spaces with less than 5ft overhead space requiring bending and crawling over/under
Ability to route, install, and pull various size cables through crawl spaces and equipment cabinets of varying sizes
Ability to remove and install equipment from floor level to 6ft height using physical means or with applicable support equipment
Ability to travel locally
The flexibility to work frequent non-duty hours, weekends, and holidays as required to support specific project, mission, operations, and/or maintenance requirements
Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance, which includes U.S. citizenship
Valid U.S. Driver’s License
