Trim Operator 3.6 3.6 out of 5 stars 10292 Us Highway 19 North, Pinellas Park, FL 33782 The Trim Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining trim fabrication machinery, ensuring the accurate and efficient production of trim components. This role involves preparing materials, managing inventory, and upholding quality standards in a fast-paced work environment. The ideal candidate will have experience with sheet metal, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work well within a team.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Operate trim fabrication machinery to produce trim components according to specifications and production schedules. Prepare materials and set up machines for production, ensuring proper calibration and adjustment of equipment. Perform routine maintenance on machinery and report any issues to supervisors to minimize downtime. Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet required standards and specifications. Manage and track inventory of materials, performing cycle counts and maintaining accurate records. Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe by adhering to all safety protocols and guidelines. Communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers to ensure smooth production processes. Assist with loading and unloading materials, including handling sheet metal and other heavy components. Follow all quality service standards and comply with company procedures, rules, and regulations.
REQUIREMENTS
At least 1 year of experience in the roofing, building products, or sheet metal industry. Proven experience working effectively in a team environment. Basic math skills, including the ability to calculate fractions, percentages, and angles accurately. Familiarity with sheet metal, trim fabrication, and related equipment. Good organizational and time management skills with a keen eye for detail. Ability to consistently lift objects weighing more than 50 lbs. Current forklift license preferred; training can be provided. High school diploma or equivalent required. Willingness to take on special projects and adapt to changing production needs.
