Full Job Description SUMMARY:
To perform all job associated with tooling as directed and to prepare, set up and maintain tooling and parts in area that are required for change overs. To establish records associated with tooling, sizing sleeves, barrels and screws, and change overs. Maintain and control the quality of tooling as well as their shipment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Includes the following. Other duties may be assigned. 1. Die heads and die tooling 2. Belling heads – cleaning and repair 3. Locate, repair and store all tooling associated with PVC extrusion 4. Set up die racks and label all die parts 5. Check all die parts for chrome or damage, ship out for repair if necessary 6. Set up heater bands and pin heaters on equipment and check for proper operation 7. Prepare die set-up for changeovers, i.e., air plugs, tank gaskets, chains and assist with all changeovers 8.Keep records of all tooling sent out for repair or loan to other locations 9. Measure barrel and screws, keep good records of barrel and screws measured, and sent out for rebuild 10. Perform all other jobs associated with tooling as directed 11. Performs other assignments as directed by plant manager 12. Perform all minor carpentry work around and in the plant i.e. build storage shelves, crate parts and equipment for shipment etc. 13. Perform P.M. work on plant equipment as directed 14. Does routine cleaning and painting of plant equipment and facilities as required 15. Teaches, advocates, and uses safe working practices at all times and reports hazardous conditions at all times 16 .Keeps maintenance equipment and working area clean at all times 17. Directs the activities of others when assigned. Instruct and follows up the activities of Inexperienced employees 18. Fills out records when required.
QUALIFICATIONS

EXPERIENCE
Have a one year certificate from college or technical school and/or two to four year’s related experience with die heads and die tooling
LANGUAGE SKILLS
: Have the ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Have ability to write simple correspondence. Have ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Have the ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10″s and 100’sHave ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed bit uninvolved written or oral instructions. Have ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment. Work involves frequent lifting of materials and product up to 50 pounds. Machinery operation requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to: eye safety glasses, hearing protectors, work boots, and gloves. Loose fitting clothes and jewelry are not permitted.
